NO ARMS, NO LEGS, NO WORRIES
Interview: Nick Vujicic
By World's News Reporter -- 5 April 2016
1 R: Thank you very much for doing this interview with the "World's News". As we know you had published a new book called "Life Without Limbs". Can you tell us who inspired you to write this book?
NV: My friend, named Phil Toth. He inspired me to write this book because at 22 years old, his body started having symptoms of a disease called Lou Gehrig's disease, we call it ALS. Muscles, nerves and organs in his body started shutting down bit by bit. He didn’t feel sorry for himself and he is an inspiration for me.
2 R: Then he was source of inspiration for this book. Then what was the main message of your book?
NV: The main message of this book is simple, just keep your hope alive and to never give up on your dreams.
3 R: That's great, I have heard that you travel many countries for giving motivational talks. How many countries did you go?
NV: I had go to more than 57 countries for giving talks.
4 R: That was a lot! What is your central topic of your talks?
NV: It was mainly about bullying, inspiring positive change, persistence, determination, and my own stories.
5 R: I know that you are a Christian. Can you tell us why do you attend church?
NV: Because I enjoy the fellowship of the Apostolic Christian Church in Pasadena and love their hearts in valuing the family-style congregation.
6 R: Some of the people don't know how to show their love to God. Do you have any suggestions?
NV: People can pray, tell God that you love him and admire his creation. They also do good things, honor God's name, love yourself and love your enemies.
7 R: If you were given arms and legs for one day, what would you do and why?
NV: I would hold and hug the people I really really love, such as my wife and my lovely sons. I would run, I want to know how it feels when I am running. I would swim, I would probably ride a bike, drive a car… that would be really cool to do.
8 R: Then if God gave you a choice, would you want your arms and legs back? Why or Why not?
NV: I would leave it totally up to God. God’s plan is always better than mine. But, I don’t think I would be famous if I had arms and legs. Because I have no arms and no legs, then I can actually influence more people. If God wanted to give me arms and legs, he still can do it. It’d be pretty cool if he give me arms and legs, right?
9 R: What do you want to achieve in the next few years?
NV: Maybe I would like to travel to more places for giving talks.
10 R: What are your future plans?
NV: I would like to publish a new book and moblilize churches and tell people about the kind of fulfillment and purpose found only in Christ..
